Rock Climbing on Loudoun Hill

The gear (or lack of it....)
shows what was achieved 'in the old days' with friends.
We didn't have technical 'Friends' then!
Jim, looking for lost coins!

Loudoun Hill is a volcanic plug just outside the town of
Darvel and Strathaven.
There are three faces of Trachyte rock which face south
and dry quickly.
The climbs tackled by the club included Pulpit Crack grade HVS and Pulpit Arete graded Severe
