The Caledonia Way
-again-

An off road cycle path that never fails to deliver,
especially beautiful on sunny summer days

Isle of Lismore

Rubha Fiart - Eilean Musdile

Saturday 1st August
'lumpy water'
It was exhilarating....

We are heading down the west side of Lismore,
toward Eilean Musdile in the Firth of Lorne
at the entrance to Loch Linnhe.
This is separated from Lismore  by a sound ¼ miles wide,
a place with tidal interest, and a superb camping area,
from where to watch the ebb and flow.

The Caledonia Way
Slighe na h-Alba
A wonderful, traffic-free path, with a few sections on minor roads.  Much of the path is built along the former railway line which ran from Connel to the slate quarries near Ballachulish.

The path has great views, hugging the coast for much of the way and has very few gradients.

Shuna Island and Lismore

A very pleasant day trip in Loch Linnhe.

Could have be titled 'Seven go round Shuna'....
