Sunday 13th April
The boggy path we followed through Coille Coire Chuilc improved with height gain.
So did the weather, it was cool, very sunny; perfect walking conditions.
We followed the Allt Coire Dubhchraig upwards.
It splashed and sparkled in the bright sunshine.
We were soon crossing the coire floor heading to the north east ridge.
It's a great place to enjoy peace and tranquility;
a place to listen to the silence and watch the wildife.
Clean air to breathe, an escape from the city. Magic!
On the ridge we found deep soft spring snow;
as if gaining height wasn't hard enough! It wasn't long before we reached firm snow and raced for the summit.
The view south toward Ben Lomond and the narrow end of Loch Lomond was excellent.
We didn't linger too long over our lunch, it was a chilly wind!
